Gibsons, and why I play em!
When I think back over all the years that I have been trying
to play the guitar, no matter where I have been,
there have always been a few trusty
Gibsons in my collection.

This one is a Black Beauty
I have run into many people throughout my life
who have asked me the age old question.
With all the Gazillions of guitars this guy has
Why doesn't he use a str*t? Actually I have purchased
many str*ts in the past, but I have given them all away.
I have one right now but it just sit's on the stand.
Now before you start gasping and heading for the phone
to request a free str*t, let me explain the situation.
When I was a young rock and roll singer I saw
Marc Bolan, of T.Rex
using a white str*t with a ceramic teardrop on it.

It was made for him by Elton John, and I thought,
Cool, My Idol of the Ax, uses a str*t and therefore so shall I.
So I sallied forth and purloined same, only to discover that
every time I played the thing, I knocked the volume knob,
so after a short time the guitar would be playing so quietly,
I couldn't hear a thing. This was a very sad realization.
Fortunately just as I was leaving to carve out a new career as a bus boy,
my Friend took me to see the film "Born to
Boogie"
starring Marc Bolan, Elton John and Ringo
Star.
And, Lo and Behold!......Marc was playing a Gibson Les-Paul.

And Gibson had the good sense to place the volume and tone controls behind the
bridge of the Guitar, I was ecstatic, elated...
even Interfrastic! Huh!!
I ran to the store to peruse the Gibson inventory
and discovered that all the Gibson models
had the same control design. The rest is history.
Now...I'm not saying that str*ts are crappy, in fact
I have been playing a left handed one that's pretty nice
feeling, but it's just that real men play Gibson's.
What more can I say? :)
So there you have it.
the story of how Phillip almost became the number one busboy in England
Thank you for your time.
Hey...there's still time, mate!

This one is an old Korina 'V' painted black
Isn't that some kind of stones song?

This is my "Annoy Nathan" Guitar...coz He
thinks that only that
Johnny page fella should play em! or was it james bonney, or something like that...
Hey they weren't much of a band and MTV will never catch on either!
(What are we going to do with this guy?!!)

This one is hardly played, coz I can't quite get used to
it...
There is something not quite right and I can't put my finger on the problem.
(I can.....You're a looney!)

This one started life as a 50's era Lezzie....
A couple of broken necks later, it's probably worthless now....

Here is a recent edition...a 68 re-ish the
belonged to the band
"Gratitude"
I'm quite grateful to have this guitar in my arsenal...
You may be wondering where all my other guitars
are.
Well... I have a life!

Here are a few more..
The numbers are reflective.. Sorry about the glare..
That's so I can see them at a distance on a dark stage..
"Schenker V
?!"
Hey Phil....are you sure you spelled that right?
What a sad Picture

You would think that 35c a day and a Mountain Dew,
would get these guys to rehearsal on time!
I mean, we stopped the flogging, and the honor of playing with me tax.
Ah well, I have only myself to
blame.
I am just too generous.
I think you gave us too much, Captain!
